For reference - this is the mid-torque version (650 ft/lb); great for lighter duty work. If you want a gun that's good for heavy duty stuff (suspension work, etc) you probably want the 2967-20.. but it's significantly heavier and more expensive.

Yeah great deal with the 2 6amp batteries and charger! Pulled the trigger with 5% chase freedom CB through chase portal.

This is my 1st M18 and will complement my M12 3/8 impact, 3/8 ratchet and grinder, needed something a little stronger for lug nuts, doing brake and suspension work so I don't have to break out the air compressor because it's crazy loud and kinda want to eliminate because I don't have the room in my 1car garage

**update: having 2nd thoughts on the M18 mid torque, I didn't know the 2nd gen M12 stubby existed and was that powerful, always remember everyone raving about the gen 1. I looked back on the 3/8 M12 Fuel impact I currently have and it's only 1400in lbs which is only ~116 ft lbs, so a 400-550ft lbs would be a huge power bump. Now just to decide bare tool $200 or get with the 5.0HO battery $280 which sounds like the way, I currently have two 4.0amp batteries but the stubby maybe only puts out ~400 ft lbs I hear unless you use the 5.0

Agreed, I have the high torque, mid torque(this one) and the M12 3/8. The M12 3/8 is more than enough for most everything. In fact I mostly use my 12v Bosch impact because it's almost perfect for everything. If your working on heavy equipment, semi trucks, rusty suspension etc. you'll use the big stuff, but it mostly sits in the drawer for regular car stuff. Nice when you need it, don't get me wrong!

for those not familiar with milwaukee, keep in mind the 550 number here is the 2nd gen 3/8 m12 and with a specific high power battery that was new at the time. the first gen "only" had 250. 2nd gen just came out last year so people with m12 3/8s most likely have the 1st gens.
also another statement is that using an adapter loses a lot of the torque, so unless you have 3/8th versions of every socket (which is pretty uncommon for 21mm+) it might not be the best choice
