It really depends on the use. For my use, I find the M12 Stubby covers 80% of my need.

But there are revised M12 Stubbies on the way with 500+ ft/lbs (advertised) ability:

Thanks OP! $22 cheaper (with tax) than this deal if you're like me and were planning on keeping the batteries.

I have heard nothing but good about those 6 Amp batteries. Some have said that these are leagues above the 5 amp ones. If I didn't have my Ryobi and big Milwaukee impact I would have ordered this. Glad to save you some money.

The XC6.0 High Output batteries are also significantly larger than the XC5.0 batteries.

This is a good deal with the batteries if you need them. You can hack this alternative to get just the impact for $129.31 (I paid $135 two months ago). Which makes the batteries and charger worth $119.69 alone.

Thanks for the tip.

Is there a way to find all the "hackable" deals on Homedepots website? I just noticed a Dewalt drill has a deal going on right now (where you can hack it since you are getting the batteries for free), but without randomly clicking on that product page, I would have never known there was a deal on it.

Do these have enough torque to remove the lugnuts from my wheels?I know my current Milwaukee impact does not, but it's getting pretty old.

Just search variations of "milwaukee free tool promotion" or "milwaukee free battery promotion". Look for the red box in top left of the teaser picture to see which products are part of a promo. Don't just fixate on the battery starter kits though, or you'll miss out on the rest.

My Milwaukee Stubby is underwhelming, but this mid-torque shouldn't have any issues with wheel fasteners.

EDIT :The size is also comparable to the Stubby IMHO.

Yes, the M18 mid-torque gives you more than enough break away torque to remove lugs from a car, suv or truck. I wouldn't use on anything bigger than that.

Also, make sure you have a good firm stance and arm position before using. IYKYK

My old ryobi 1/2" impact has no problem with lug nuts and it is rated at 40% of this Milwaukee impacts power. I think with the profile and the torque for most jobs you would be happy.

Hmm just received my HD order for the M12 3/8"
With other tool return it's going to be $115
Is this worth an extra 150(with tax)?
Don't own any M18 devices(yet)

Everything about this deal is pretty fair price for me. 2 Batteries $120 and $130 for the tool. Thanks OP

They are awesome batteries. They are a significant step up from the old standby 5.0's without jumping clear up to the 8.0 and 12.0 in weight. Those I reserved for the really high demand tools or fixed tools like saws or vacuums.
