Just asking which one is better will get you an answer, but it may or may not get you the answer that you need.
No nothing can do that without fiber or Ethernet run unless you put an antenna on the roof if you can see each other
this might work if you can clearly see other with nothing in the way and it's aligned. they don't need a router just a switch

Are you using this w/o on FIOS service? That'd be my use case
The other thing with ASUS is enabling AiMESH if that day comes. But you got MOCA to multiple access points which is close enough to a mesh.
