Boost offers "blue truck" delivery as their premier and cheapest option. You CANNOT tip "blue truck" Kroger delivery drivers. These are proper Kroger employees -- not gig workers. If you only have instacart in your area (or you choose to use it for timing reasons), then you are subject to instacart rules, somewhat sketchier delivery (because it is an instacart employee, not a Kroger employee, who is picking), and you might be able to tip. FWIW, I LOVE Boost. Blue truck delivery has been nearly flawless for our deliveries, and we've had literally hundreds of them (really!). Join now and you should qualify for the mid-July Boost Bonus days (like prime days) where some silly cheap deals will happen. At half off, this is a no-brainer if you normally shop at Kroger.

To clarify for people:

Boost Essential is $69 / year ($34.50 with promo) and includes free next-day delivery from Kroger trucks and Kroger employees. Tipping is not allowed. Includes 6 months streaming.

Boost is $99 / year ($49.50 with promo) and includes free same-day delivery through Instacart drivers. Tipping is encouraged. Includes streaming for the full year.

You may only have the option of one of the two plans depending on your location.

You can extend your membership when they have these 50% off promos. Mine currently goes through 2028 because I added multiple years at the $34 price.

The Essential plan is great. No tipping, can schedule delivery early mornings, easy refunds if anything is wrong.

Stop doing that. You're just making tip culture worse.

Matt Walsh just did a YT video about tipping....more and more places, especially with tablet checkout, hound you for a tip even though no service was provided.
And I do $0 tip at all of those places.

Plus, if boost members cash tip, who are they actually tipping? A driver?

Does the driver evaluate the produce and pick the non-bruised bananas? Or is it someone else that picks the produce?

I want my driver to drive safe. I don't want my bananas bruised in an accident.

don't forget the $95 annual fee for the Blue Cash Preferred
This is waived for the first year (plus the additional $250 sign-up bonus), and then there's a handy trick that has worked for years for many of us:

1. Wait for the yearly annual fee to hit.
2. Chat Amex and tell them you'd like to downgrade to the Blue Cash Everyday. They will refund your annual fee prorated, so be sure to chat immediately after the annual fee hits, do not wait for the entire statement cycle.
3. Wait for a few hours, check your Amex Offers page in the portal. If not by the end of the day, sometime within the next week or so you'll get an upgrade offer.

These upgrade offers range from completely waived annual fee, to cash back after spending a certain amount. In my case, my most recent upgrade was for $50 back after spending $2,000 (so an additional 2.5% back), which I mentally credited to the annual fee. Then they also loaded up an offer for $50 back after spending $2,000 when adding an additional cardmember and spending on their card. I chatted at 7 PM and the offer was in my portal by 11 PM. They literally had not yet printed and shipped my BCE card before offering me the upgrade.

So I did that for my spouse, ran all our grocery spend through it for a few months on her card alone, they accrued the spend against both offers, and we have been paid $5 to hold the card.

This works year in and year out. And if at any time you don't get an offer, well you have a BCE which is still a great card.

Where it says 5% back when using mobile wallet is it talking about apple pay or you have to sue some kroger wallet? would I be able to get 5% back places other than kroger or only kroger, for instance? I was tempted to get a new credit card that was offering a $300 credit, but maybe the $100 kroger one would be worth doing.
The 5% is anywhere you use Apple Pay/Google Pay/Samsung Pay, not just Kroger. I use it pretty much any place that takes Apple Pay if I don't have another 5% offer elsewhere, making a purchase anywhere on my phone that accepts Apple Pay, or if I'm in a hurry and don't want to stop to think "which card am I getting 5% on (whatever category) this category?"

THANK YOU FOR THIS LINK.

I'm near a bunch of Ralphs, but no Krogers. When I tried to sign up through Kroger site, they said they couldn't deliver to me. Signing up through this removed that restriction

No. If they're spending 20 minutes picking up groceries for me and there's no fee for store pickup, I'm going to at least tip them $2. They're not required to take it, but they saved me 20+ minutes of my time. I do agree though that tipping in the US is waaayyy out of control.
Saving 20 minutes of your time is their job as Kroger employees. They are not minimum wage or sub-minimum wage employees.

yeah that honestly sounds good. I have one card where I get 5% off at electronics stores and my utilities. I have 2 cards that give 3% back for all online purchases. Then the cards that give rotating categories of 5% back usually give them at grocery stores for me 6 months. But 5% for all wallet purchases would come in very handy because I already sue apple pay at all grocery stores and restaurants.

Have you checked to be sure it gives the 5% even if you were to buy gift cards at kroger or wherever when using a wallet pay? When using any other cards where it gives 5% off at grocery stores, for instance, it always works on gift cards.

In AZ, using Fry's versions of Kroger, they use instacart, not Kroger delivery. The delivery is free but you have to tip. Wish I knew before I bought, not worth it for me.

How do you get the free espn+, is it a situation where the email address has to be exactly the same, or some other process?

Hi there,
I spent a TON of time trying to figure this out yesterday and I've built websites for a living for almost 10 years.

https://www.picknsave.com/members...pfreetrial

When you go there, choose the plan, then hit enroll now. It does not show the discount price until you click enroll now.
THEN it will show the discount after you're signed in.
