People sometimes want to sound tech-savvy, when the truth is the opposite.
Not only would this suffice for 90% of the use, but the real-life performance difference between DDR4 and the budget DDR5 is unnoticeable.

Plus the platform (ZEN 3) doesn't admit DDR4. It's an older platform --and that's why it's so cheap.

This would make an amazing firewall/router machine using opnsense or pfsense. This has dual 2.5 gbit lan and it can be a wifi 6E access point. Good horsepower for intrusion detection and chip supports aes extensions for openvpn or better yet use wireguard for vpn client or server.

I used to play Overwatch 1 on medium low 720P settings on a 5800u, so you can def still do some super light gaming but nothing very intense. It will still run a lot of simple games.

Why would you post this version when the 6800H with 24GB DDR5 is $309.99?

*I can see that one is a deal for everyone while the 6800H is a prime exlusive price. If you got prime look into the upgrade.

This has Radeon vega 8 which on Passmark GPU score is 1574. Not bad. Slightly better than a GT 1030. It CAN game. I had a laptop with a Vega 7 and I played beamNG drive on it. Low settings 1080p managed 60fps. Also did some video editing with it on davinci resolve. The cool thing with these setup is, it uses system ram for video memory, so it could have more system ram than many GPUs on the market for the price of this entire machine. So if video ram is important to you this can do it. I did some tests with davinci resolve and I was able to get video ram usage over 10gb. Something my RTX GPU can't do with only 8gb. So it's got some decent power.
