The adizero SL2's are great running shoes that have lightstrike foam in them, which are adidas highest tier of foam. They are seriously great shoes.

These aruku are walking shoes with a heavy rocker curve to them. If you've never worn a rocker style shoe then I wouldn't buy these without trying them first. They are NOT for running.

I have wide feet - I struggle finding any shoes that fit well because of this (especially since you can't always find wides being sold) - I find the Arukus are pretty comfortable after messing with the laces a little - far more than my Nike Vomero 18's for comparison. I actually have found myself wearing the Arukus pretty much daily because of the comfort.

I purchased them primarily because I am a teacher and tried out some comfortable walking shoes this past year (took a cue from my wife who is a nurse). Fell in love with how much better my feet and back felt after using nicer shoes like this.

Fun part for me is the "clown colors" allow me to actually purchase shoes that match school colors better so I can also wear school spirit wear and sneakers on a regular basis now lol.

Anyways - I am in for one in this color to add to my cheap but comfortable fleet of Arukus now.

I run to be healthier. I don't compete with anybody. A bit heavy shoes are fine. Looking at the images, I guess the sole cushion are thick and I think that's good for running (I can feel the ground when running with my current shoes).
