I've used this pizza oven about 6 times now and it's been great, especially for that price. Takes about 15-20 minutes to heat up to 650-750F. I didn't read the instructions so it kept turning off after 10 minutes but it turns out it will automatically turn off after 10 minutes if you don't set a time after it preheats. Once I figured that out, I've been able to cook multiple pizzas back to back. Takes about 5-7 minutes per pizza depending on the ingredients and I usually rotate the pizza once so it doesn't cook too much on one side.

Does this oven make pizza taste better the a regular oven or something?
If it can really get up to 700f it will make pizza similar to that made Neapolitan style since home ovens just cant get that hot. Actually a lot of the bad reviews you can tell they were not using it correctly, you don't want to use that kind of heat for frozen pizza or using low moisture moz, it will burn.

It could be good for the rainy days (I have four pizza ovens: bertello, ooni Koda 16, clay oven, gozney). My $10 certificate expired 07/13 or that would have been a no brainer.
Which model Gozney do you have and how does it compare to the Onni Kora 16? I'm pretty confident I'll eventually get a Gozney Arc XL when I eventually get an oven.

obviously a pretty cheap deal! However, the product itself is somewhat flawed. The previous gourmia deal is cheap mostly due to limited branding and poor quality control(some people just received lemon).
This one is cheap mostly because it's a flawed product. A couple of things that prevent a good user experience:
-only one heating element from the top. Meaning that there's no specific temperature control from the bottom. Generally a good NY or Neopilotan pizza(this technically could do but in reality...no), you'd want a higher bottom tempature with controlable radiant heat from the top. So that means you have to pre-heat for a long time(and buy a temp guy to check tempature) then just turn the heat off and on to control the heat, which sounds horrible.
-the pizza stone is exactly 12 inch round, not the entire floor of the oven, so you have to be extremely careful when putting a pizza in. This combined with the fact that the back of the oven is round and the peal it comes with is square, just makes it annoying to use.

I have the Roccbox (bought for $150 on marketplace). This is the best of the four. The clay oven is awesome but it takes over an hour to get to temperature and you have to watch the fire at all times. So, baking in it needs two people with one keeping the fire going. If it were twice as big, that would be better. It is also about 400 pounds. I prefer the Roccbox over the Ooni Koda 16. Neither have the rotating stone but I am thinking of modifying the Ooni. The Bertello is not bad at all and has the dual fuel. Flavors are good but space is tight. I am on a lookout for the Gozney dome. It has everything I need. I have baked about 200-300 (edited, got the math wrong) pizzas a year for the past five years. Neopolitan only.

ArcXL owner here, the thing is awesome. I upgraded from a Roccbox and couldn't be happier. That is... until I saw the Koda 2 pro with dual burners. I still prefer the more classic look of the Gozney over the modern Ooni starship designs. Anyway, for this deal you pretty much can't go wrong unless you are set on making authentic Neapolitan style pies.

For now I've been pretty happy with my pizza steel in a conventional oven @ 550. You can actually make a pretty good pie that way. Make them once a week, usually neapolitan. I'll get the ArcXL or something equivalent once I'm not living the apartment life.

Check your eBay account for a $5 off $50 code if you pay with Venmo. Unfortunately, it has to be $50 pre tax so you will need to find a filler. You can pretty easily for some 99 cent stickers though

That's how most outdoor pizza ovens work anyway, heat from a single source above the stone, so not sure that's a big flaw especially at this price. You need a temp gun for those too to know when is the right time to launch onto the stone. Personally I am coming from a pellet oven with no heat control lol. The pizza stone is my only concern, too bad its not the whole bottom surface of the oven, wonder if there is a pizza stone out there that will fit into it instead, or maybe even a pizza steal.

For NY style, just get a baking steel and use your home oven.

Nice deal if you're ok making pizzas with only a top heating element.

yep, i got a taste of it with a ooni fyra pellet oven I got cheap on marketplace for $60 and love it so much already looking for a gas one to have easier time keeping it hot when making a lot of pizzas. Then this showed up for $50 and like you think it would be great for rainy days and in the winter. Will probably be like you this time next year with a bunch of different ovens lol.

I too watched that YouTube video.

I would say this is better since it can get higher in temp and caramelize the tomato sauce slightly around 600 f

I guess in essence heating up the stone works as a bottom heating element. Not sure if it's needed if the stone is hot enough which this oven gets to 750

Really wish I could get that gourmia so I can also bake some nice bread and other pastry for both element control, which my conventional oven doesn't have

There is a Gourmia all in one pizza oven at Target. Seems to have the same features as the plain Gourmia pizza oven in addition to added air fryer functions.
