Just remember that the Pixel 10 is launching in a couple weeks. Decent chance Best Buy has the trade in an iPhone 13 or whatever and get one free like they have the last couple years. I would definitely wait unless you need a phone immediately.

I tried that, iOS is so incredibly primitive that I'd rather use a buggy Pixel than an iPhone.

For clarity - the $150 credit can only be used when purchasing from the Google store. I tried to stack itpurchasing from Google Fi, which gave me $250 off of $499 it couldn't happen so now I have a $150 credit towards a purchase on Google store that I cannot use. (if someone is going to purchase a 9A from google store hit me up to use the discount)

Still not as good as the Visible Pixel 9a deal from few months ago for $240 after taxes and 2 months of paid service with no trade in. This shouldn't even be frontpage.
The forced battery software "update" wasn't a thing a few months ago, my service (US Mobile) is only $25 per month, and I should get $75 or more trade-in for a now pretty much worthless 6a. It is surely front page worthy.

I'd be interested in using your discount. My 5a has a vertical line down the screen. Let me know, thank you!

Give me 24 hours as Google is calling back to see if they can use it towards the purchase of the phone through Google Fi arriving tomorrow... if not I would look for $100 for the $150 credit, I can validate who I am
Correction - in fine print at the bottom it states "non-transferable"...

I know this is a 9a, but I have an 8a and I absolutely hate it! I did month of research on it because I am very picky. My old $100 Motorola, as well as my older iPhone are more dependable than this turd. You know that feeling when you just want to throw your phone, but than you know you shouldn't, well, that's how I feel pretty much every day. Just thought people should know before Google gets any more money for useless products.
Agreed that the 8a had issues (as did the 6a)....I had them both. However, we've had 3 9as in our family that have worked flawlessly. I'm still using my 7a that's been perfect. Perhaps stick with the "odd" versions?

I have owned probably 30 phones in my life now and the main thing I've learned is to go with the mainstream. Updates are reliable, bugs are squashed and everything just works for the most part. Anytime I've had a Galaxy Nexus or a pixel or a OnePlus phone or anything else I run into ridiculously frustrating things like Wi-Fi not working reliably, terrible reception, batteries burning out, screens that go bad. The Google Pixel line is loved by purists, but they are much more likely to have issues.
Also support. Oneplus support was horrible after FedEx dropped off the package at the wrong address. I had to beg for a refund and risk losing my trade in despite FedEx tracking showing the package was dropped off in another town. It was a cut and dry case that they tried to drag out in the hopes that I'd give up. Never bought a oneplus after that.

Is your issue with Android in general or just the Pixel? Why not try another brand?

Google Fi has these for $249 and the 9 for $449. Anyone think they will go significantly cheaper after the 10 drops?

Does the $150 battery promo credit stack with the discounted rate? Users were reporting that it didn't on the main rebate forum. Can anyone confirm one way or another?
Yes, it stacks with the sale. I used the $399 price, $150 battery credit, and a $70 trade-in on one transaction, no issues. Also had an email from the Pixel team that said it does work with the sale price.

If you have Google Fi service, they are selling at 249.99 and you can add trade in your old device also
I have a paused Fi service. Can I move the 9a to Straight Talk after the 120 days of active Fi use (to get the $250 saving) or is it locked to Fi?

is it just me or is does the 9a not feel any different than the 6a. the camera feels the same, the os is the same, if the battery on the 6a wasn't crap I could have used it for a couple more years.

Not locked to Fi. For the rebate you need to stay with Google Fi for the time otherwise they will charge you. They are unlocked phones and can work with any carriers.
