First off, thank you for the reply.
Is that not overkill for what I need it for? I'm not looking to do any gaming at all. The only thing I currently use my PC for is converting and burning dvds.

PSU=180w
CPU consumes up to 182w. (No...This system won't blow up...as shipped....)
Don't plan on adding anything ot this system.
You can tweak builds to get a 360w PSU then you could perhaps add a low end GPU, assuming cooling allowed.

If you go here and get the "Tower Plus"....
https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/d...rectTo=SOC
It has a 450w PSU and starts at $699
You get a lower end CPU....which is actually fine.
It will be $150 to go form 16 to 32gb ram. (Consider Setting system to 16x1 so you can buy another 16gb much cheaper.)
They also want $100 to get a bigger SSD.....again not a good deal.
But that would be a better base to start out with if you want to add a GPU.

Maximum weight: 28.50 lb (12.94 kg)*
(The Discount on the Tower Plus is not as good...)
