someday you might need it, a 10-cup rice cooker can do 0-10 cups so just buy it.

FYI this was $257 two months ago.

Funny enough, I just bought the 5.5 cup of this model, but the 10-cup version is now cheaper. I'll be returning the 5.5!
Update: Amazon offered to, instead, refund ~$60 to keep the 5.5. It was only offered as a last step before confirming return details. I don't need the larger size, so I'll be keeping the 5.5

Have one and it's amazing, it also has the GABA brown price setting for enhanced Gaba production .
I was able to pm this price to target with the 20% student plus 5% red card which made it like $199 when I bought it.
I even compared it to their highest steam plus IH cooker and brown rice came less sticky and nice and chewy in this one instead so kept this one.
Worth it!

Bought this last time around.It's pretty great to be honest. Cooks rice really well (as it should for $250). I compared to my standard aroma rice cooker from like 10 years ago and it's strange it doesn't look much different but it's pretty obvious once you taste both. It's not light years ahead but I kept going back to the zojirushi and I swear I could eaten like 5 cups right there. It's just way better, hard to explain. Did a blind taste test with my gf and felt good with the buy when she instantly picked the zojirushi right away.The steam function is really convenient too imo. Cleans very easy. I liked the gaba brown rice a lot. Makes me weirdly sleepy though, which is nice if I'm having a later dinner because I knock out real easy. Still experimenting with it but it's definitely nice and well made.The 10 cup really isn't that much bigger btw, if you're having a hard time deciding.https://www.youtube.com/live/AXdU...kdnnKoB04j

These products last a long time. I had one for 7 years. You might be able to use it with your grand kids or extended family when they come over.

Can you buy a replacement pot for this? Asian here, we cook rice every day. The teflon in the pot is always the first thing to go bad.

This is a very meh cooker.
Lacks handle, no water catch cup, and the cord sticks out. This thing is designed to stay in one place.

I got this on the last deal when it was $257 to replace my 15 year old Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 5-1/2-Cup Neuro Fuzzy Rice Cooker. In comparison to the NCC10:

Like:
  • It will always give you an estimate of the time it'll take to cook the rice. The NCC10 would only show you time when it got to the last 15 minutes or so.

Don't like:
  • There's no more retractable power cable
  • No more rice spoon paddle holder on the side of the cooker

Haven't tried the steam function yet

Some other notes:
  • The 10 cup is only slightly bigger than the 5.5 cup neuro fuzzy I had. I'd say it takes up around the same counter space.
  • You can still cook 1 cup or 2 cups of rice even if it's 10 cup. We usually only make 2 cups of rice at a time. The nice thing about this one is you have the option to make 10 cups if you need it and the steaming function (which I haven't tried yet but want to try making xlb with eventually).
