I recently found a folding Bluetooth keyboard with a spring loaded phone stand in the bottom of a chest. It looks VERY similar to this (but this one looks little more sleek at the edges). I bought it back in college to take notes with on my phone... for some context, this was probably pre-2010 and I seem to remember it costing something like $80... I put some AAA batteries in it, flipped the switch and it started right up. It's wild how common this stuff is nowadays and at such inexpensive prices.

Well, with your bad knee Ed, you shouldn't chuck anything. It's true.

I recently paid full price for the tri-fold version with touch pad. Not a great typing experience obviously, but for having on hand on quick outings to do some real writing on a phone, it works well. This is a good price and I don't think the touch pad is really necessary.

Looks slim and compact. And it's reasonably priced. I also have one from the pocket pc days, so no need to buy another one.

This is why I have this kind of thing. With my work, I might have to write a long email at any time and this makes it easy compose something with just the phone.

I didn't have this specific one, but another version of Samsers and with very minimal use it started having key failures. So hopefully this one works out better for y'all than the version I had.

I bought one similar to this and hated it. The fact the middle keys aren't offset like a normal keyboard played absolute havoc with my typing as a 60+ wpm touch typist. I bought another one that maintains proper key placement and fair much better with it.

But we all have different abilities, differences in how we cope with change, and different preferences. It may not bother you at all, but it's something to consider.

A few years ago I bought a Targus model that was discontinued. I absolutely love it since its about the size of a phone and fits in your pocket. They keys are a bit smaller, but it's easy to get used to and because it's so portable, you'll use it anytime you need to text or reply to an email on your phone. It also works with multiple devices so I use it with all my phones on the go. Couldn't be happier except it's no longer available new for $50.

But then I just checked and ebay has a lot of them for less than the price of this deal. So I just picked up two more of the Targus. The no-name word salad knockoffs of stuff never have the longevity of branded stuff ime. And what I've learned about stuff that works perfectly for you is to pick up extras because when you need more they'll be gone.
