At the beginning of November last year Google store was giving $699 for the Pixel 8 Pro. The 9 Pro Xl 256gb cost me $850 at that time. After trade in I paid $150+tax. I'm hoping to find a similar deal this year though I don't expect it until a month or 2 after launch.

It's all subjective, but again, if you're pre-ordering phones every year and getting credits, it's actually a pretty good deal in my opinion.

I've had *only* Google phones since the Nexus 6p and 5x. Using a 9 pro right now, but the stupid bugs introduced in the rushed Android 16 are still here and are still annoying.

I'm skipping hardware upgrades from Google until they fix the user experience.
