you don't have to wait at all and trust me GS will lower the rate soon.. as you can open the cd, lock in the rate and then when it asks you to fund the account just hit the "not now" button. they then allow you to fund the account within 30 days, if it's not funded by day 30 the system will just close it.... I do it all the time. You have 30 days to fund it and the account will remain open for 30 days for you to fund it....Wink

i do not know if you can do that with NP CD and you have 30 days but the rate is not guaranteed unless it hits 500 then 30 days. You do not have 30 days at the rate. If the rate changes before you fund it you do not get the higher rate and a NP cd can only be funded once

And rates will not drop till the fed does which is a month away which is why i am waiting
