Does anyone have any real-world input or feedback on this one? I am looking for a cheaper 1/2 to use a few times a year, to take on and off wheels, that's it.

I have this thing. It has tons of power, more than enough for wheels.
Depending on what wheels you're doing, this might be overkill/overly heavy. I use the older gen Kobalt compact 1/2" for the wheels on my Subaru - if you're just doing passenger car wheels the new Kobalt 1/2" stubby should be able to do it.

It works great, I've taken off lug nuts torque at 80 ft/lb and my axle nut torqued at 134 ft/lb.

I have this and use it for wheels, lawn mower blades on zero turn that I previously had to use breaker bars on. It has plenty of power and this is a great deal

I bought this and used it for suspension work on a Mazda 3. Plenty of power to break away rusty bolts on the knuckles.
