8GB, gtfo.
You may have read too fast...that's the rtx 5070 with 8gb. The laptop has 32gb on its own.

Maybe he is saying 8GB is too small for a middle class videocard.

And that's fine if you have an extra 300+ to spend. You can't magically make Nvidia give more ram to 5070 and under. Like I get the complaint, just not sure the value of these dudes posting it on every single thread about a 8 GB laptop.

Biggest difference between this and the Legion 5i Pro with similar specs is the the build quality and screen? Or are there more things that separate the two?

Multiple things separate the two, this hp omen has a matte screen which will be much less reflective, and its the same resolution, oled's tend to have a bit blurrier text, this machine will be a bit lighter I believe, and the omen will get much better battery life since it has a 255h vs the legions 255hx which is more powerful, 2 different use cases, one is more powerful, one can be used in more scenarios.

Thanks. also looking at the product listing for the Omen, Micrometer says its a 1920x1200 resolution, whereas the Legion is 2.5k.For my use (desktop replacement, don't care much about extra weight), the Legion is the better.l choice.thanks again.

The Omen will def have better gpu performance for the native res vs the Legion's since they have the same gpu.
