Heads up -- although you CAN run this fan with 120v wall power, you CANNOT charge the battery this way. This fan "combo" lacks a charger for the battery --- OOPSIE, RIDGID MUST'VE FORGOT THAT LITTLE DETAIL!That'll be an additional cost -- currently a Ridgid 18v charger is $42.90 at Home Depot. That makes this "deal" around $122. That's some oopsie.
Most people have multiple chargers. It not including a charger to make the deal cheaper is a benefit, not a detriment.

Unless you're one of those people who DOESN'T have a charger, then it ain't such a good deal having the battery be a one time throwaway! And if people have a charger, then by your logic, they probably already have a battery. So remove that from the "combo" to make it EVEN CHEAPER.

$79 for a plug-in fan ain't a bargain.

(if they forgot the charger, I wonder what else they might have forgotten to include!)

It's not a plug in fan. it's a dual power fan with a battery. I bought two of the previous model and I use them all the time. They are great. It's nice to be able to transition to plug in where it's available, but I just keep a bunch of charged batteries when we go camping and it's awesome.

Ok, so answer me this. Can you charge the battery while it's plugged into the fan? No. So it can only use a single power at a time -- EITHER battery or plug in.

Does it come with a battery charger? No.

Therefore, it's a plug-in fan unless you drop ~$43 extra dollary-doos. A very expensive $79 plug in fan.

I have two of these, and they are great, but make sure to take them out and test them immediately to see if they're faulty. If you're unlucky, your fan will have a ticking or squealing noise. Home Depot does not get rid of these problematic items; they just repackage and put them back on the shelves.

Even better register for the LSA immediately then if it ever develops the squeal you can send it in for free repair.

Who buys a jobsite fan as their first item in a cordless tool lineup? Everyone considering this already has at least one charger.

Also I'm seeing $158 for this combo now

I passed on it because I have too many fans, but I saw the combo with charger and 4ah battery on clearance for 79.99 at my local HD in the South Bay Area/Central area. Worth looking for it if you are in need of a fan.
