I bought the 64gb one at launch, amazing little machine. Was playing Cyberpunk and Warzone on the integrated GPU with decent FPS on 1440p. End up returning it when I realized 64gb is sort of gimped for local Ai use. This 96gb should be fine for most models though.

I had bought a model from another manufacturer that was less money, it did come with a 2TB drive, I needed it for my office. It doesn't perform near as well as my home gaming PC with a RTX 5080 but I was pleasantly surprised when I do play a game on it once in a while. not sure how it compares to the one in his thread, I know almost nothing about mini PCs or Ryzen AI processors

🤣🤣🤣 Wut?

AI is the only reason to get one of these, right? Definitely no for gaming, for the price...

Soldered ram too, FYI. Don't know if you'll need more for AI...
395 came with LPDDR5x, it only came in soldered form, and max out at 96G.

The 395 can come in 64gb, 96gb, or 128gb form.

They are all soldered so you should be careful to get as much RAM as you need as you cannot change it later.

Here is a 128gb version which is a smarter buy IMO if you want to do Local AI. Or buy some time on a AI server farm.

Personally I think the Bosgame is a better buy. Or wait a few months if the tariffs get found unconstitutional and real competition for these starts.

look up this exact machine model on YouTube; it's been featured in a few specifically for running local AI. it isn't exactly user friendly, and you'll almost definitely need to do it while running Linux (Nvidia is still king of the roost in terms of cross platform support)

This is a deal but not as big of a deal as it appears.. it's normally $1799 on their site. But that's still $70 off at least. None of these have upgradable ram, if you're interested in local AI you might want the 128GB one that is $1999. The more ram you have, the larger models you can run.. but even 128GB isn't enough for the largest models. But most people aren't running those at home anyways. It depends on what you're doing, I run LLMs in Ollama (with open webui) a lot on a 16GB Nvidia 5070ti. There are models coming out that have a lot of parameters but a small subset are active at a time so you can run them in less memory. I think Qwen3-coder is like that.

You would have to be soft in the head to spend this much money on a B-tier Chinese mini PC. Only the Chinese are making these things because stuffing a bunch of hot components into a small box is a really bad idea. As for running AI workloads, a lot of them are built for CUDA, an Nvidia technology.

🤷 ♂️if you don't like this one because it's Chinese then there's also a similar system with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip from Framework with 128GB ram also for $1999 but that one comes with no storage. AMD's chip is literally built for AI workloads you just have to use the ROCm or AMDVLK versions of the software.

The ignorant of this comment section astonished me. This is how sleekdeals users become now?
