So, since product spec on Amazon doesn't mention country of origin, and blade is made of 8Cr13MoV steel, I assume this model is made in China. Am I correct?
I believe all Kershaw pocket knives made in the USA use 14C28N steel.

If it's $20 then it's safe to assume it's made in china.
i got one of these 2nd hand. Does anyone know if the flipper switch is supposed to be hard to open? i.e. I have to press my index finger pretty hard, but when it does activate, the blade inside springs open very quickly.

Some are now made in China while the more expensive ones are made in USA.

When mine was new it was a little stiff. If it's well used I'd guess that it needs to be cleaned and lubricated. EDC pick up lots of lint
"Last purchased July 12 2016"... for $27! This is probably my favorite EDC carry knife I own. Good value for what it is. Think i'll get another...
Don't know why you got down voted. I checked and I got one for $24 in 2019. My only complaint is that I leave it clipped on my pocket and that's stretched the clip out.
LOVE this knife. Tanto tip makes it great for utility and the straight main blade holds an edge very well
amazon wont ship to my area but i can buy this several places around town within 5 miles.

I have one floating around somewhere. Way back in 2012 it was picked up on Amazon for $19.90. Must not have grabbed as I do not remember carrying it at all. I do prefer my EDC a bit larger though.
