I had one of these for awhile. If there was pretty much any light breeze it would cause the umbrella to swing around and tilt, making it impractical to use. I ended up getting a few ropes to anchor it to deck railing and such to get a bit of use from it but ended up reselling. Neat idea, but just far too unstable.

Good price. Wish the required base was cheaper.

I'm a little amused that they went through the trouble of photoshopping the umbrella into that photo but they didn't bother to adjust the shadows so that the lounge chairs weren't still in full sun.

it's a bad Photoshop. the prior comment re shadows isn't entirely right, bc as you point out this is a late day shadow angle...but that makes it a terrible choice to highlight this item AND there is no shadow being cast by the umbrella pole even.

Can we use a standard base with this or need weights for the cross base?

You can always use bags or paint some cinder blocks or pavers thick black and use those Smilie

Keep a few of the (real) bases in your Amazon list - they will have a discount at some point.

Seems like $100 total ($35 for this and $60 for the base) is still a great deal. I paid $250 for one at Lowe's and was psyched.

agreed. This is a brand new product it appears - no reviews. Certainly just coming from the same factory as the others Wink

It looks like there's a second listing for the same umbrella if folks want to check out reviews. I'm still hesitating since my guess is the quality is iffy.

This color is too hideous. I wish it's beige or gray instead
