fyi i tried this one on the last deal, the noodles don't feel very premium its just like the regular super cheap ramen noodles.... i guess youre paying for the seasoning but i didn't really like the taste so much or the after smell. i do buy the other nongshims with the premium noodles tho, the ones that go for $20 for 20, or 17 for 16, those are decent if you're in a ramen mood

I bought this earlier this year and this has the same noodles as shin red.

Agreed. Got these last time and the texture of the noodles feel like their regular noodles.

Nongshim is solid. My go-to brand for Ramen/Raymen. You can call it mid, but the "tastes cheap" crowd doesn't really know what they are talking about.
Sodium content is insane for this. Guarantee it drops significantly if you take the seasoning package out, but the kimchi seasoning is kind of what you are paying for.
This is a solid deal just for the noodles.
Kimchi is not that expensive and not that hard (but it is time consuming) to make. You can get premade kimchi easily and fairly cheaply that has better macros.
As always, this should be viewed as the base to a meal and not an entire meal. Add protein, vegetables, and seasoning to taste.
Personally passing because it's packets and not convenient cups. But wouldn't be surprised if I changed my mind.

Except cups are smaller and the noodles are different. Yeah, I buy occasionally for the convenience and to sample a new flavor in a smaller quantity but 70/30 it's packets.

good deal if you s&s. practical advice for ramen pack eaters,
there is no law that says you have to use the entire flavor pack.
i buy a lot of ramen packs sales locally from chinese markets,
and even diluted with my veg and protein, the whole flavor pack
can be overwhelming, so i start with half, then add as needed.

It's all about use case. If you're building an entree and feeding more than one person, packets absolutely are ideal. If you're using ramen/raymen as a quick meal, the cups are super convenient - especially in a work setting. Each have their place.
