The Depot has some Dewalt 5.0 Powerstack batteries on sale for an in store clearance price of $50.25. This is a YMMV deal. The link will likely change your store to the Monrovia, CA store, so be sure to change your store back to your own local store and check all the stores in your area to see if any of them have them at this price. This can be done by checking the "Check Nearby Stores" link on the battery's page. The inventory I'm seeing is in the following states; CA, TX, AZ, ID, IL, FL, CO, NJ, MA, TN, VA, MI, IA, NY and GA per

I have three of these with very light use. One developed an issue where the battery indicator lights got stuck on and DeWALT sent me a new one right away. They didn't even ask for the old one back, so I repaired it.
All it needed was a new tactile switch for the button (Diptronics TBFF21KQR, TBFF22KQR, or any number of them with the same footprint). You can't access the switch without removing the cell stack which is stuck in with adhesive foam. I needed 99.9% isopropyl alcohol with a needle dispenser to free it up without getting any where it might short the cells.

You do have to be willing to search for these items on your own. I look at it as a bit of a treasure hunt. I memorize the SKU numbers I'm looking for and search high up on the shelves.
The PowerStack batteries I found were in a cardboard box high above the other batteries. The SKU was stickered to the outside of the box along with several other battery SKUs. I had to ask an associate to get the box down and look for the batteries. She kept asking me why I didn't just want to buy the two pack. I told her the two pack was selling for $329 and I could get two of the batteries she was digging out of the box for $100. I did the same at another store before finding these and the box had the SKU on the outside, but no batteries inside. That particular associate seemed annoyed at me for asking.
Extreme YMMV, but you might just get lucky with some persistence.
