Jamo speakers are FAR from audiophile level according to the internet. However I bough a 5.0 set a few years ago to hold me over and am still using it because to me the sound just fine. Also the white version had very high WAF.

At full price these are a joke but at this price I'd say you could do much worse

It's perfectly fine unless you're sitting super off the sweet spot. Elitist audiophiles will make tons of content talking about how it's awful, and yes, having this speaker orientated vertically would be much better for almost all situations but it's perfectly fine for the average living room where nobody is more than 25 degrees off axis of the TV anyway.

I also have a 5.1.2 all Jamo setup with a SVS Sub and a Denon S970H. Sounds perfect to my ears.

never get a lesser center channel, if you want a center channel for movies that is where the money should go.
center ch is the most important speaker for a movie (60to70 utilize center speaker) i had jamo 5.1 set up and i just changed center to matin logan foundation c1 with amt kind of twitter the best thing I could have ever done for home theater

I have a Sony SSCS5 setup with no center. I wanted to match the center with a Sony one but this looks like a good deal. Should i get this or the Sony center that doesnt go under $100?

Would it work if I put two or even 3 of these side by side hooked to the same center connect on the avr? or would that be stupid lol
Add a subwoofer and properly configure your receiver and it would likely be pretty decent.
If speakers in a set have crossovers; the center would be the worst choice as it would usually be tuned to mostly high pitch an dialouge. I am not sure how to find out how many speaker has crossovers without finding a review that mentions it. I remember my first real pair in the 90s were 15s an they must have had crossovers in the 5's cause the smaller speakers in the cab didn't distort. If a center has crossovers it would most likely be like that so the dialouge doesn't distort; muting the low end frequencies to achieve this.

Ironically for many displays, a main issue they suffer from is bad viewing angles. Some start to degrade as early as 20 degrees.FYI that one person you mentioned would have to be pro basketball player in one direction from center.
I was being very generous to the 25 degree post. Apparently these rules can apply to a spherical 25 degreee too, cause the monitor this post is being typed on is normal from the sides, but when i stand up it gets distorted colors.

Not sure what you mean by generous but 8ft isn't common, most people sit further than that. Yes it does apply spherical. Regarding a display, a good example, when people mount it on the wall over a fireplace & sit down to watch it.BTW that monitor you mentioned. You're within hands reach & is adjustable. Not sure what the point was though?

Love my Jamo speakers. They've got good weight to them and deep bass. For the price I'd jump on this if I didn't already have one
