My local Home Depot store has this hammer drill on clearance for $90.25. Stores are probably replacing this with the new model and stocks are limited.

4 stores next to me did NOT have this on sale.

ONE store had it for $90. So keep changing the top left store location, change it to other stores near you until you see the one with "CLEZRANCE click here to see clearance price" under the big price on the right side. It took 5 stores but I did actually find one with a clearance price

What's the new model to the 805? I'm not so sure there is one.

Is there any big upgrade/advantage to it?

I looked into it. the new version has anti-kickback tech

The Dewalt DCD806 is the successor to the DCD805, representing a significant update rather than a simple model revision. The primary difference is the inclusion of Dewalt's Perform and Protect Anti-Rotation System in the DCD806, which uses a gyroscope sensor to detect sudden tool rotation and shuts down the motor to prevent user injury, a feature not present on the DCD805. This system is similar to that found on Dewalt's larger DCD1007 model.
While the DCD806 and the DCD805 share the same physical dimensions, weight (approximately 1300g), and 1/2" chuck size, the DCD806 features a new model number, indicating it is a distinct product line rather than a "type 2" revision of the DCD805. The DCD805 Type 1 has been discontinued, with its last date of manufacture being February 28, 2024. The DCD806 is considered a "soft update" to the DCD805, primarily focused on safety enhancements.
In terms of performance, the DCD806 is part of the new DCD801/806 series, which features a higher-rated XR brushless motor with a 1050 MWO (max watts out) power delivery, compared to the 900 MWO of the older DCD805. This increase is likely dependent on the new PowerPack 4Ah battery (DCB2104), which is exclusive to the new kit and not sold separately at this time. The DCD806 is also marketed as being up to 25% more powerful than the Milwaukee M18 FUEL drill when compared using the new battery, though this comparison is considered potentially unfair as it uses a battery not typically bundled with the Milwaukee tool.
The DCD805 was available in different "types," with the North American and Asian markets having only the Type 1 model, while the European and Australian markets had a Type 2 model featuring the Anti-Rotation system. The DCD806 is the North American/Asian replacement for the DCD805 Type 1, and it is essentially the same tool as the European DCD805 Type 2. For users seeking a compact, powerful drill with enhanced safety, the DCD806 is the recommended upgrade over the DCD805.

Yup, I JSUT got home. My HD had 5 listed but 7 in store. Clearly marked price on the endcap behind the cage. Even the HD worker who unlocked it said he was going to grab one too.
Usually these clearance prices only show up at checkout, but it was clearly labelled on the shelf as $90.

I grabbed one!. Thanks OP!
