Beans, Water, Lots of Salt and also adds Calcium Chloride and Disodium EDTA, totaling 440mg of sodium in 1/2 cup, but rest easy that they've added chemicals to preserve the 'firmness' and 'color' of a bean you're about to cook and most likely in a soup, stew, etc.
Meanwhile (of course for more money) the 365 Whole Foods (organic) ones are just the Beans, Water, and Sea Salt, totaling 100mg of sodium in 1/2 cup.

The more you look the more you see all the absolutely crap that manufacturers have injected into our food supply to the detriment of our health but the benefit of their wallets, making things look more vibrant, be more firm, retain more color, 'enhance' flavor, etc. And if you want to buy the healthier alternatives, they upcharge you for that privilege.

This is even lower than the usual deals. I did three orders of four, and I will expect that they will be close to expiration.

You shouldn't expect that. All of the Amazon Grocery canned beans I've ordered were fresh. My recent delivery of Garbonzo and Pinto beans have a best by date of March 2027.

I just bought the Amazon navy beans for less than a dollar a pound, and compared the nutrition label to this one. It looks like the dry navy beans are about three times over this can of cooked beans. So I guess the question is whether saving sixty-six cents cooking beans is better than opening a can and having it right now.

OH!! I was comparing navy beans with "great northern beans", so if you see an important difference between them, please adjust or ignore my posting here.
