Spent $900 a year ago on one of these. In for a second. This thing is absolutely earth shaking without being boomy.

I've been waiting for this price to drop below $1600 for a while. Debating on this or waiting until BF for a bigger drop in price.

Have a Mirage Omni S12 which was highly regarded back in the day. Want to go to a 2 sub setup and have been wanting to pick up an RSL-12. Anyone have an opinion on the RSL-12 or maybe has used both? I realized I missed a labor day sale and could have picked one up for $699. 😡

I have 2 of the RSL 12s and they are beasts in my 17x20x9 ft room. Never heard the Klipsch.

I want to push the buy button but hearing about the amp failures with the rp-1600, makes me want to hold off for either a 1400 or 1000. 1000 would fit the space best but could make it work.

I haven't heard of amp failures on these but the previous SPL versions had a lot of failures. I got two of these

I've heard both but not side by side.Depends on expectations/preference you're after. If you're looking to rattle windows/walls/bother your neighbors two of these is probably the way to go.If you want more defined articulation bass probably two RSL is probably the better option. Keep in mind optimal placement is crucial for optimal performance. These have a huge footprint, can be a challenge.

Extremely doubtful. You'll need a Van or a truck to haul one of these suckers. I have the 2x14 of these and the boxes would not fit in any sedan and probably not anything less than a mid-size SUV.

Roughly the size of a dishwasher box.

Not even a chance.

And yes, I know (assume) you're trying to be funny, but the very real answer is that these are massive.

I paid $1100 for mine and consider it an absolute steal. These will go for $900 rather often, but if you need something now this is a no brainer. If you can wait, you might be able to save a hundred bucks.

How do you plan to provide 110V in the trunk? Plus won't it dramatically reduce the trunk space once installed?

Look up home cinema king or having fun repairs on youtube. The capacitors are apparently the weak point. The 1600's are the ones that seem to have the problem's. The 1000/1200/1400 appear to not have the same issue.
