I don't think you know what tariff means.
He's using the term just as well as anyone these days.

Spoken like someone who has no idea how pc gaming works...As someone who grew up playing on consoles and know about PC's, I have no loyalty or bias to either but you are just saying the same old uninformed BS non PC gamers have been saying for years.

"Pay for every game individually" - There are deals/bundles you can buy. Even if you buy games individually, isn't that what you do as a console gamer anyway? Also, not that I'm condoning this- but sometimes you can get new big budget games on the PC for "free." You can't do this on consoles.

"Upgrading parts every few years to keep up" - No one has to do that, it's a choice. If you buy a decent PC today, it'll play all games that come out in the next 10+ years. You may not be able to play the future games at the highest settings but a console wouldn't be able to either. Matter of fact, once a console gets upgraded to the next gen, eventually the newer games will no longer work. With a PC, it'd still work - again, just not at the highest settings.

"You end up paying more" - While you might have to pay a little more upfront in buying a good PC vs console. On PC, online gaming is free. You don't have to pay for Gamepass, Nintendo Online, or PS+ so you end up saving a bunch of money. PC also has a million other purposes and things you can do that you can't do with a console.

I couldn't care less how anyone prefers to play videogames but you're spewing bs.
Largely agree, I'd say it's more like 7ish years than 10+ with how unoptimized games are nowadays that keep getting pushed out the door and needing a 5090 to be playable (looking at you, Borderlands 4) plus you're (theoretically/on paper) saving $360/yr now by dropping Ultimate Game Pass, in a few years that money can buy you a new rig and keep on rolling. And as you've stated, bundles are a thing, getting $500 worth of games for $20 (or whatever) happens all the time. My backlog is miles deep, 95% of the junk coming down the pipeline I'm not interested in. i have 0 need to be a "Day 1" player/buyer.

Having said that, if you're a Call of Duty fan, this is a totally different story. laugh out loud

50% price increase, good thing I own MS stock.

Yes, I will keep playing Atomfall and FS 2024.
Taking the Cirrus SF50 G2 from ILG to TPA.

Yes they do. I just did it myself. Redeemed through 2028.
Same renewed till oct 2028. Don't know how much longer i can be a subscriber with these kind of prices. Might just have to let go of my Xbox and be 100% pc gamer again. They need to stop adding perks we don't use and just maintain the price.

not even for 15 I couldn't justify ultimate let alone 20 or 30. 5 to 10 and that's it take it or leave it

All of Xbox's, Playstation 's, and Nintendo's practices during their current generation have me fully convinced to switch to just pc at some point.
Yeah. It's the most flexible with the cheapest games and all I wanted was to play with controller which can be done so easily now.

PC is the wild west dealing with hackers, cheaters and viruses. Pay for every game individually. Not to mention upgrading parts every few years to keep up.You end up paying more, but I guess you get the feeling of pride and accomplishment putting your own box together
Smells like freedom from price gouging though

According to this, 3 months of PC Game Pass should convert to 60 days of Ultimate. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/he...onversions
3 months core converted to a little over a month of ultimate for me but not 2 months more like 35 is days.

In December, I bought 3 months of Game Pass Ultimate for $23.68 thru Eneba. I've yet to redeem it. Seems like my most valuable asset at this point

Paying the COD tax. I burned up as many Rewards points as I could yesterday before they pulled Ultimate codes as an option to redeem, I maxed out my sub, but in 3 years from now I'm not sure what kind of shape the entire Xbox brand is going to be in, might be the last hurrah.
I missed the days where we easily redeemed MS reward points for GPU.
