Once Samsung chopped off microSD card expansion from their A5# lineup after the A55, all bets were off so it's a hard pass for me.

I have an A35 and it's slow AF but it's good for split screen simultaneous video play back 🌽

Running the same phone, I hate being forced to pay for cloud storage. A35 is slow but screen is good, OS is up to date, camera is alright.

the a35 has an sdslot but only 128gb storage if you got it from the free deals like I did. make sure you disable RAM boost. it slows the phone

This seems really tempting, I've been wanting to update my Samsung line of phones. My S22+ for some reason despite being unlocked is stuck on One UI 5.0.

Good phone at this price point. $549 on the Samsung store is way overpriced.
Note that this is the 8GB RAM version for US market with 1 year Samsung warranty.
There is a Latina version on Amazon with almost same price with 12GB RAM but no manufacturer warranty. So it comes down to what do you value more, more RAM or 1 year warranty (plus more compatibility with US carriers). It's a tough choice to be honest, for me at least.

The problem is, only the two lowest tier Samsung Galaxy A phones have a microSD slot. Every other phone doesn't.
