I just saw this mini-Led TV available on walmart.com. I know it's an old model but I thought it's an amazing deal for around $400 including shipping.

It seems to have everything for a good picture quality.

I have a question for folks with expertise in TV tech....
How does it compare with current gen TCL TVs like QM6k or even QM5K? I have a 75 inch QM6K being delivered from Costco that would be $600+tax (bought 2 of those along with a friend to get additional $300 off on top of their sale price of $750 per TV).
I was wondering if we should cancel my Costco order.

Thanks for the link. From the comparison on that site, it seems like a better TV as compared to QM6K.

Maybe. Rtings has since updated their benchmarks and it is grading on a curve so to speak. It's tougher to score as well in 2025 than it was in 2021.

That said they are probably pretty comparable and R646 was a very good set that I am sure holds up very well today. This is a great deal if you are in the market for a 75".

I specifically am looking for a 65" with these types of parameters (with a similar steep discount), but doesn't look like they have any of those.

One does have to wonder where the heck these came from, or just how many they happen to have. Probably not many.

I've had this TV on my wall for 2 years now. I paid 800$ open box, I think it was 1200$ shelf price at the time. it's a great TV. deep blacks, great peak brightness, etc. definately recommend, I doubt you'll beat this deal even in november

I agree I had a 75 and still have a 65 and 55" from the same series in use. These are still good sets by current standards. This is an instant buy price if you need a set for someone that isn't so picky about ultra bright HDR.

if you are walmart+ member then talk to customer support, they promised me to refund the shipping fee after delivery. Created a case for me.
Hope you can do that too.

I would likely take this over that for $200 difference. But the qm6k is newer and likely superior.

If you have a device like Nvidia shield tv upscaling this helps a lot
