Not really. This base model is really enough. The only thing you may want the air is for the laminated display and if you ever plan to do something a lot more productive with it like video editing and drawing.

Im sure the M3 will last longer in a general sense, but for web browsing and watching Netflix an A16 will be fine for a good while. The latest Apple TV 4K has an A15 in it.
It doesn't take a lot of power to stream video and these chips all have hardware decoding.

Not at all. For most people the main difference you'll notice is that with the pro you can unlock with faceid vs a finger print unlock. For me even my 2018 iPad Pro was preferred over a newer m chip equipped iPad Air because of faceid. I have a newer m1 iPad Pro and unless you're really looking for it it's not really faster.

If you quit updating the ipad software after a couple of years, you can use it for good 6-7 years. I have the first generation ipad Pro from 2019 still running like a champ.
