This thing is awesome. I think I paid over 400 for it a few months back. It allows me to stream off my NAS upstairs on the 5ghz channel UHD movies into my Nvidia Shields downstairs (no frame drops). House is 3000 square ft. I can surf the internet and watch YouTube in my pool with no issues on 2.5ghz. Best feature by far is easily setting the channel you want for each device. I'd buy again I was highly skeptical at first but its a great piece of hardware.

Sounds great! Could you explain this feature a bit more: "Best feature by far is easily setting the channel you want for each device." So you could have a streaming device use a specific channel, a mobile phone another? Not sure I understand. Thanks.

Yes, you can have multiple channels setup or just singles. I have 4 networks in total. One is 2.4, 5, and 6. Second is just 2.4, Third is just 5, and Fourth is for guests. Reason for the complexity is some older devices won't join the multi channel or continuely disconnect IOT (2.4 only). I use the 5ghz for the Shield boxes because I specifically want the better signal strength because the video files are so large. if you run them on the default setup the router comes with the multichannel it keeps pushing them to the 2.4 and the movies/tv will continue to cut in and out. I keep our phones on the multi (2.4, 5, and 6) because the phones move around with us and this works best.

I'm not seeing the Prime price? Is this dead?

Thank you! Appreciate the explanation. I am familiar with this technology (using a single WiFi network SSID but allowing clients to connect at 2.4ghz or 5ghz - also known as "Smart Connect"). On my ASUS XT8 I also disable that and have separate SSIDs for 2.4ghz and 5ghz.
