You can get alixpress ones that have replaceable nozzle tips for around $15, same as m4 bambulab replacement type. Works perfectly on mine.

I recently bought this printer and have been very happy with it.

Word of warning, though! Aliexpress 'Free Returns' are a complete SCAM. They will not honor it. If anything is wrong they will make you pay for return shipping, which on an item like this is quite expensive. Buy at your own risk.

Outstanding price. Look out for nozzles though, they are proprietary and very pricey. Like $30 a piece.

EDIT:

Pulling any of my recommendations for Flashforge. They have come out on record that they are monitoring what your print at home and will alert the police if they think you are printing anything illegal

Dont support this police state garbage:

Alvin Bragg threatens everything.

I think they thought it would be cool to do this but it was a horrible move because they probably don't really get how it would be interpreted.

Not so much the "gun" angle but the threat of doing something to MY machine AFTER i purchased it, especially doing something that's still LEGAL in the majority of the states.

Honestly should've just said nothing and that would've been better.
The reality is they can't do anything if your machine is off line

Yup, and install firmware updates offline as well too.

But I think people like monitoring/controlling their printers through an app, which I can see being really useful. Hell, I turned my ceiling fan on from across the country when I noticed my cat looking a little warm.

Looking at the letter to Flashforge from Bragg, it appears he has already harassed Bambu and Creality as well as Thingiverse.

While some are freaking out about FF's reply, I don't see it as an issue. What ever data they collect is going to be the same (or less) than other mfrs. The companies have no interest in policing what you do on the printer outside of their networks. They can't get in trouble if you print something NYC says isn't OK via your LAN/USB. Where they get in trouble is if they allow you to pass something NYC thinks is bad through their servers. At that point FF/BL/Cr are part of the mfg chain.

If you are really worried just run the printers in offline modes. The nice thing about the FF is you can use a wired network and just plug it in when you think it needs an update. Keep it offline the rest of the time.

I've learned to immediately open up a fraud case if I get something that isn't what I ordered. Even that isn't fool proof. And don't say you'll accept a return

I mean they can do it from China...backdoor somewhere in your firmware you're not aware of, unless you plan on airgapping or keeping it completely offline, you can never really be sure?

I suppose if you're running your own homelab and monitoring all of your devices and what they can or cannot do, we're all kinda just sitting ducks, right?
Yeah, I was only speaking for myself; my home setup is ubiquity gear and it's pretty easy to tag stuff and say "don't let this talk to the greater internet." That would present an issue with a 3d printer if I wanted to set it up to use, say, Pushover to notify me when stuff is done.

Mostly though I think this is a weird thing to worry about over this specific device. Putting any IoT stuff on your home network entails risk, and if you want to use stuff like light switches you can access from anywhere you can't wall them off from the internet. At that point you can put them on their own VLAN but that's not accessible to the average user either.

Personally I think the average person is much more at risk of malicious IoT stuff running bots for spam or DDOS attacks than they are anything else and if I was in a group looking to put that sort of stuff in something I'd be looking at $12 light switches not much lower volume 3d printers.

I just ordered. The AEUS code was the only one that worked for me. If you can't figure out the "can't ship to your address" issue, maybe you don't need a 3d printer

If only that! They will have you ship it to an address in Germany that does not exist! I had to fight with Paypal for "one time exception" on a defective item. So yes, be ready to write it off. If an item is expensive it is unlikely you could argue it being defective. I had luck with items costing up to $10.

I just placed an order on Amazon for like $50 of upgrades for my Ender 3 Pro. Wondering if I should cancel and just upgrade to this machine. Will I be able to take advantage of fast printing with my cheap no-name PLA?

My head is spinning. Can someone compare this to the Creality Hi which is $136 refurb right now?

My last attempt at buying a 3d printer as a deal for my kids' Christmas was a weedo and it was a disaster-o. All we did was troubleshoot, order parts, and repeat. So frustrating.

The back story on the YT video above is that NY AG Bragg sent threatening letters to the various 3D printer companies making all sorts of threats about printers being used to print gun parts. NY is trying to demand background checks for buying 3D printers
https://www.tomshardware.com/3d-p...inted-guns

They sent a threatening letter to FF
https://manhattanda.org/wp-conten...5.25_1.pdf

FF's initial reply said they would report people for printing gun parts to comply with the law. It seems they over reacted, realized they stepped in it and retracted the comment. I suspect most of this was just to satisfy the veiled threats they were getting from NY.

Basically, nothing to worry about.
