Straight Talk iPhone 16e 128GB Black or White + 2 month of service as low as $460: https://www.straighttalk.com/all-...gb-prepaid

Cost breakup (YMMV):

Price of the phone: $399.00
1st month lowest plan from straight talk: $35
2nd month plan recharge from Walmart (YMMV) on availability: $25 https://www.walmart.com/ip/Straight-Talk-StraightSAVINGS-25-Unlimited-Talk-Text-Data-30-day-Prepaid-Plan-Direct-Top-Up/10506716112?classType=VARIANT&athbdg=L1103&from=/search

[walmart.com]

So the best case scenario price: $399+$35+$25 = $$459 +tax for an unlocked device after 2 months.

Looks like these devices are also available directly from Walmart as well for the same price:

technically around ~$30-$40 more than the deals that came in Mar-Apr this year but this has been the best price for getting an unlocked new iPhone 16e since April as far as I know.

True. If needed i'd buy. Also now msrp is $100 more actually so from that perspective even better.

Looks like these devices are also available directly from Walmart as well (both black and white 128gb) for the same price:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Straig...om=/search

So if $25 plan can be purchased to activate directly from Walmart and also for 2nd month to get it unlocked, that might reduce the final cost even further, YMMV

Also if combined with the tablet deals on straight talk, on can get the following additional offers when purchased in bundle with the phones:

1. TCL Tab 10 NXTPAPER 5G + 3-months of tablet unlimited+ plan for $60 more
2. Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G + 6-months of tablet unlimited+ plan for $120 more

May be just buy it from Walmart and activate it on TracFone by calling their CS rep (I successfully tried recently with total wireless ip14 converted to TracFone). It will reduce the cost further down.

you need 2 months of paid service to be eligible for unlock not just 1 month

$299 yes but with the top of the line $55/$65 plans for two months ... so the actual diff is around $40

You need to buy a plan from Straight Talk upon activation, $35 minimum. The refill from Walmart for $25 refills an existing number directly. Also, you can request a rebrand to Tracfone, but in my experience the phone did not unlock even though I paid for 60 days on Tracfone.
