Which is where the great grilled flavor comes from. In essence you are getting grill marks, without the flavor, which is essentially frying but much more inefficient because you have limited surface area touching the meat. Plus you get to store it! If I want something for kids to use to cook with I think a small George Foreman is better, they sell for about $20 or less around Christmas.

It gives off steam and some splattering. The lid and grill parts can be cleaned in dishwasher per a YT review. The lid is just a splatter screen.
The smokeless part is that no grease is dripping onto & getting burned on the heating element , which would give off smoke.

Nice deal if all you need is one with the grill plate. The GR101 includes a griddle plate as well, but I can't find that one included in the eBay refurb sales listings.

I got a smokeless indoor grill decades ago. I was so excited...
When I told a coworker, she said, so you basically got an electric frying pan.
Not quite as the grill doesn't cook the food on a bed of oil.
But she was close.
I grew up and got real gas and charcoal grills.
I like pan fried steaks better though. The maillard reaction is easier.

This is not a good deal. I bought this product for $49.99 at Walmart brand new. It will go on sale again at this price at Walmart. You guys are receiving a used product for $60.
I have mixed feelings about the grill. It generates a lot of smoke, YouTube reviews confirm this also. The anti-stick coating is terrible, your food will absolutely stick, so you have to use grill spray or oil, but then that causes more smoke. Honestly, I think my outside Weber barbecue is better than this and chicken tastes way better due to the flavorizer bars.
The pros here is that it can reach 500 degrees while George Foreman grills cannot and it has more even heating even at the corners of the grill.

Sorry, but smoke is what makes a grill a grill. There's no such thing as a smokeless grill.

Looks like a 1-sided version of the panini press I keep around. Apparently the parts remove for cleaning on this one so that's an advantage, but seems the panini press is more versatile.
