Awful price for a 4 year old phone.
One year service. Price is for the service, not the phone. 🤦🏻 ♂️

It's more of a niche deal for certain people, and it's not really a good deal for those who want to resell these phones.
So true. With IPhone 17 out I doubt it if anyone would spend over $500 for IPhone 14. I could be wrong though but who knows 🤷 ♂️

Yes - if you want the service. My point was if you're just looking for a phone, total is the better option.

Plus if you're using a Verizon MVNO, better to go with Us Mobile. Cheaper and better intl coverage
If you're looking for a phone to trade in, then Metro has a 13 with port in for ~$110, which is $50 for phone and $55 for first month service plus taxes.

So, those who need just the phone can skip this deal and not complain about the obvious. If you are interested in Visible service and ready for an annual plan, get a three year old phone for free. Give it to Apple Store and they give you around $200 gift card if you don't need the phone and just use the service.

I think a lot of the frequent posters and commenters on these SD posts are those who would want to resell the phones, and this isn't a good deal for them, despite the plan itself being a good value. I agree it's a good deal for someone who wants a new iPhone that doesn't need the latest and greatest (and doesn't want to spend too much money). And probably a decent number of frequenters of SD forums already bought a recent annual plan (see paragraph below). I'd say for a customer who is in need of a phone and wants the Visible+ Pro plan, the only risk is if they jump in and buy this plan + phone deal before confirming that Visible service is a good fit for them (due to coverage needs or otherwise)

There was a recent BYOD iPhone deal with Visible+ Pro annual plan giving 12 months of service for $225, and people were getting discounts and cash back deals that brought the cost of the annual plan to under $150 at times IIRC, which kind of makes this deal feel a bit less slick.

Last December, I actually needed/wanted a second phone for work, to keep my apps separate, at a time that coincided with Visible's $395 Visible+ annual plan with free iPhone 13. I didn't realize how helpful to my workflow it was to have a separate phone number and phone itself for the work apps for when my job gets busy. Great deal. I'm still on the annual plan from last December. I have no regrets. It worked for my use case.
We also have the same "Free iPhone 13" plan from last December, expiring December 3. What are you planning for a renewal option? We MUST have continuing phone service with no gap. TIA for detailed advice from SDers.

It is 3 months on 5G+, with 65+60+60=185, and you should add tax.
$55 + $55 + $55 unless they changed it, you do this if you do not care about the phone service for a year and only want the phone
but last time I checked they only had purple and red on the 14
I did the iPhone 13 deal when it was free - I am sitting with 2 unlocked iPhones for $165 each, not to mention the credit card CB and C1 very high rewards back (which you can do with Visible too)

Are you planning to port out and back in? Or do you not really care much about the phone number with Visible so you just made a new account?

With respect to "continuing phone service with no gap" - if you do not care about keeping the phone number you have been using from Visible (some people do not care), just get this deal with a new email account, have it shipped, wait almost 30 days and activate the plan in mid November.

If you care about keeping the phone number, my thought is that since the currently active deal is for new customers, you may have to get the annual plan with free iPhone 14 using a new email address, and with the plan get a new phone number. You might have to port out your current phone number you are using on your iPhone 13 to another carrier, then back in on top of the new Visible account. I don't know the best companies to port. I think some people say Tello but I don't know if Tello has a minimum number of days they hold your number until they release it for porting, or if that minimum number of days requirements is only for newly issued phone numbers.

I've never done this where I've ported a number around that I truly needed to keep (though that will be my situation in early December with my Visible iPhone 13 deal I got last year) but hopefully another SDer can comment.

Thanks for your kind reply. We are considering the options, since we need to keep our current phone number but don't particularly care about getting a new phone. We may have to port out to our previous carrier, Consumer Cellular, and lose a month or so of service on Visible in order to maintain continuity of service. Surely Visible's marketing department must be aware that lots of folks have expiring plans from last year's promo. Hopefully they will announce some upcoming enticement to continue Visible service.

Just chatted with a live Visible agent. Their live chat advice is this: "We are still innovating promotions and we are still waiting for the approval for the marketing team, I can promised that before your service will be end you wlil be getting a great deals." Chat further indicates that the "deals" will go out to current customers via email. Good luck to all!

nope. had an option for a new number. some years past you have to port a number from a different carrier they offered 137 for that 13 on trade. was brand new basically, i only use it as backup. had 100% backup. my friend has a 9 year old so instead of the 137 to me i am donating it to him for his first phone. win-win for everybody

Total did change it, you now have to pay $50 for the phone and $195 for a 3mo plan. So it's essentially $250 for the phone and 3 months of service (minus the cash back, etc)

Yeah I understand. There are times when I need to make a phone call for work, and a regular cellular connection works fine, but the messaging system I use that has some sort of VOIP built in...will disconnect. So I need regular voice coverage as well as data. So in an ideal world, I would want to keep my number (but also port on occasion if I can get a great deal).
