Edit 2: I agree that, for $82 the 2TB model is a slick deal. I'm generally anti-QLC and, to a lesser extent, anti-HMB...but the Maxiotech MAP1602A controller is really good and 1200TBW is pretty standard (same as Samsung 990 EVO 2TB, for example). In for one.

For $82/2TB, if it fails I'll write a thank-you note for the time it worked. Keep your expectations realistic. Throw your games and unimportant stuff on it, and you've got yourself a great deal.

I'd spend the $90 on a bestbuy "refurbished" 2TB Samsung EVO and easily do a return/rebuy if I dont get one I am satisfied with.

Edit: Nevermind, sold out.
Yeah, that's the thing. Everyone knows a sub-$100 2TB Samsung SSD is a steal, which is exactly why they sell out so fast. For $82 and actually in stock, this Orico isn't bad. Plus, lesser-known brands often use the same NAND chips from major manufacturers anyway. It's really just the lack of brand recognition that makes people hesitate.
