UBISOFT recently added an OFFLINE Mode for the game. (After all the backlash when they shutdown The Crew "1" servers.)
  • I tried it and I could play the game totally offline.
  • UBISOFT Launcher will launch.
  • Battle Eye Anti-Cheat tries to launch, detects OFFLINE and closes (I assume.)
  • Game Starts.
  • NOTE: Your saves will be stored on your PC and not in STEAM cloud or UBISOFT Cloud. Must GO Online to load save to UBISOFT CLOUD and REDEEM Purchases.
Driving games seem to be rare, and this game is a LOT of game for a couple bucks. You can drive cars, motorcycles, boats, planes, monster trucks, etc... ------------------------------------------------------------------
*** Play The CREW 2 full game for free for 4 hours by downloading the trial!

------------------------------------------------------------------

$4.99 Gold Edition

Just an FYI: A server emulator/private servers are years away, if they can happen at all.

The server emulator for The Crew 1 barely came out in September, despite being talked about years ago: https://thecrewunlimited.com/news/

Did you read my post? UBISOFT added an OFFLINE mode recently, so that it doesn't have to be online to play. I even tested it.

UBISOFT didn't make an offline mode for the first Crew game. That's why you couldn't play it after they shutdown the servers.

You can play offline. I literally just said that.

The multiplayer servers are still up to my knowledge, so your comment is irrelevant.

Who made you arbiter of the comment section?

Ubisoft only kept The Crew 1 servers up for 8 years, so it's very much relevant whether people want to go through that all over again.

Nobody cares about the offline mode.

I care about the offline mode. It's makes it worthy of more consideration and possibly worth of a buy. I wish all online games did this!

It's inherently a multiplayer game.

Adding an offline mode helps the value proposition by not buying a completely unplayable game, but you aren't getting the intended experience without multiplayer.

Would you play CoD only with bots? Solo WoW?

Ubisoft is just in it to scrape the bottom of the barrel for a quick cash grab.

Some of us didn't forget that most multiplayer games used to come with server software to keep games alive indefinitely.

I actually bought this game a while back to play solo. I'm also the weirdo that plays CoD zombies solo because I have a better time alone doing my thing than with other strangers completely ruining my fun. I don't like the way Ubisoft did The Crew 1 dirty, but by the same respect that's the beauty of gaming, I can play it a totally different way than everyone else and have a blast. It's all about what you want out of it.
