Can someone confirm this worked? And also, confirm the steps, please? -

Order the phone from Walmart.
Deliver to your home.
Put the SIM card in the phone (assuming it came with the phone).
Within 3 days, go to a Walmart store or a Verizon store.
Pay off the phone $198 + taxes and other fees (not clear where to pay off the phone).
Call Verizon customer care.
Ask to cancel the line to avoid paying even for a month.
Wait for 60 days.
Phone automatically unlocks.

Great deal. I did something similar with an att s23 in early 2024, and did the sim swap method to unlock the device after paying it off. I don't remember the details after so long.

I would definitely do this deal if I was in the market for a phone.

You habe to have service for 60 days now
On prepaid you need 60 days of paid service.
On postpaid you need to activate the line, even for 1 day. Without having to keep service active for the duration.

I got this too. I'll still get it.
Even 300 is good deal for me.

I got so many of these promotions they probably did this to encourage people to keep the service.

Is it possible to order more than one phone? Its only letting me purchase 1 phone/line.
Tia
Order 1, wait for it to arrive, setup vzw account. Then order another via walmart "add a line".

Pay off, cancel right away. No need for service. Then wait 60 days to unlock
I thought you have to purchase the service to get the phone?

Is there any reason to do in-store pickup? Would having it delivered work?
When buying this type of financed phone from Walmart, you really don't want the package to go missing. If it does, you'll find yourself in a nightmare of being bounced around between Walmart and the carrier trying to sort out a refund or cancel the agreement.

No one is waiting 30 days, to pay it off when you have the phone to avoid the service charge and activation fee.
