Meh- I bought one a couple of years ago and it will only run on high now. I use it maybe 10 hrs per week.

Yes they do. But if you keep cleaning the dirt that accumulates on the back and on the fins, they last for over 2 years. One is over 2.5 years old. An air blower to clean out the back, the coil and the fins will definitely help

A BIG tip is on top of cleaning and dusting, throw some silicone lubricant into the spinny metal shaft after a while.
I promise you it'll make at LEAST a 100% difference.
AND extend the life because your motor isn't working so damn hard.

Attach a used dryer sheets to the back of this to catch some of the dust and it'll last quite a bit longer.

I'm still leery of buying anything electrical/electronic by Amazon Basics. Not worth the risks.

I like this style of fans. Others have said to not move the adjuster as it strips out easy. So set it once and don't move it.

I'm not sure why the dislikes when their surge protectors were catching fire. But those were cheap Chinese parts, the fans are mostly Lasko.

The fan looks like a Honeywell/Kaz copy/knockoff. What's inside, parts...???

I have a similar brand...when it stops working either take it apart or use a straw and pour some 3 in 1 oil into the motor area where it spins (WD40 does alright) but the oil does better. Let it sit overnight and next day it will most likely work and last another year. Also blow out motor area if possible. I have a similar fan and it has lasted so far over 7 years doing this when it stops working. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, it looks like the Honeywell HT-900 Turbo Force Power which I have bought many back when they were regularly $7-$9 each. They last for 1-2 years of sometimes near constant use and then they stop spinning and go into the trash. If this is the same fan with the same parts under a different name, it would be worth getting some more at this price. Or is this similar in looks only but not quality?

Also, Amazon limits you to quantity 3. Can you add more in the same order or place another order in the same account to get more, or does that get you banned like AFAIK Best Buy used to do if you ordered more than 3 of the same console game in a 1 year period?
