Stick with Honeywell/Kaz. Target usually clears them out at the end of summer.
Just be thankful it didn't start a fire.

I guess if I thumbs up yesterday's frontpage posting for this at $6.60, I've gotta thumbs up again today at $5.96!

This goes down in price $.50 to $1 per day. I've cancelled my order twice out of principle. Maybe by Friday, it'll be $4.

this little thing burns 35 watts lol. no man, in what universe does that mean efficient? I have a 9 inch one that burns only 5 watts. you buy this for $6 but you pay for it again and again every time you use it. it's the gift that keeps on giving lol.

you're thinking like a Pro level SD'er. I think the exact same way as you. You will lose money running higher watts in the medium term. I still haven't plugged in some free after rebate refurbished digital alarm clocks I got from TigerDirect 10 years ago because they use 5W just for the display.

I think most AC powered fans use around this much or more electricity. That fan you have is probably a DC fan.

Have you by chance tested this (or know of anyone who has)? I find that these specs are often incorrect on product pages and in actual usage it consumes much less power. 35W seems really high for a fan of this size.

it's an AC fan, meaning you plug it in a house socket.

I meant a DC motor. DC motor'ed fans are significantly more quieter and energy efficient than regular AC fans, but they're also much more expensive.
