IMO, while the quality of this item from Nathan James is acceptable for regular use...it just barely meets that requirement. I imagine this copy from Amazon is best considered "starter" furniture that will get marked up and dented with basic use. You get what you pay for.
I used to make quality wood furniture but arthritis, running a business, and moving and not setting up a workspace yet have kept me from doing much lately. Something that looks a lot like this piece is definitely on my to-do list if I can get going again building stuff. This looks neat if you can stomach the materials and finishes.
