I was part of the EGO ecosystem for a while, but couldn't justify buying more due to the astronomical prices for anything EGO branded. The second my batteries started going, I sold my EGO tools and switched to Ryobi. I fully admit the quality isn't the same as EGO, but even when not on sale, there's little sticker (price) shock with Ryobi. I've been happy ever since.

1- You'll have an extra battery, you'll need a 100% in nearly 100% occasions
2- have a spare blower, should something happen or need 2 people to work together.
This brand is a keeper & I personally have a using collection of their products.
