It's not a tax on people with wide feet. It's a discount for an item they have too much of. They don't over make wide shoes so there is no need to discount them. As a private company they are more than welcome to charge what they want. They aren't the government so it's not a tax in any sense of the word.

Why do people feel the need to be the victim in all situations. Just pay for the shoes you want like an adult.

It is a very good pair of shoes for work. Looks like (almost) dress shoes but it is comfortable like tennis shoes.

Not sure about others, but I found Merrell shoes to universally run small. I order a couple pairs (albeit different than this shoe in particular) in my normal size and they were significantly smaller than expected. You might want to go up a half or whole size.

Wide is not included in the sale. Again, taxation on people with wide feet.

How does it compare to running sneakers that you wear? Which brand do you use? I'm 11 in most sneakers and curious what size I should get for these.

I got a pair during the earlier sale for the same price. One shoe broke in well, the other has deep creases with bulges between them, not unusual but inconsistent. I'm moisturizing them and using shoe trees with little effect. imho they run bigger than Clarks, I put in a thicker insole after a few days.

these are not dress shoes with suit in a business setting, right?

I have narrow heels, so incredibly hard to find this type slip-on that just won't slip when I walk.
Anyone who have direct experience with these can offer helpful comment(s)?

I've found that Merrell usually runs pretty true to size, for me. I'm normally an 11 in Merrell and Adidas. I also currently have medium/regular 11's from Columbia, Keen, Saucony, and Brooks that all fit my feet well. Merrells I've had are a few different Moab variations, Moab Speed, and one other I can't remember, all in 11.
