I bought this yesterday while in the store shopping for something else. For brushless and subcompact, I think this is a really good deal. Not the top of the line batteries but the tools alone are $89 each.

Meh, last two years of holiday deals have been nonexistent if you ask me. I can't recall a single good Black Friday or Christmas ridgid deal since the DTO $49 two packs of 4ah batteries. Ridgid is in a weird place right now as Home Depot clearly pushes ryobi over them now, and Milwaukee is still contractor king. I'm heavily invested, don't get me wrong, but there has been a palpable shift in HD marketing and sales in the past 24 months

I was in the same boat. Tried them out today in store and bought this kit. Massive improvement compared to their 10 year old tools.

Keeping my old ones at the rental that we manage.
