Can anyone who's purchased this TV recently from Best Buy confirm whether it's 60Hz or 120Hz refresh rate? I've seen a bunch of reviews for the 75M550KU model number that say it has native 120Hz refresh, but only 60HZ through HDMI. This Best Buy sku is 75M550NU and the listing shows 60Hz refresh, so I can't tell if the Best Buy listing is incorrect/incomplete or if it's actually an entirely different model. The Toshiba website only lists the 75M550NU (this Best Buy model), which seems to be the newer model, but did they really downgrade the panel to 60Hz?

Very low end tv. Fire tv is terrible. Will never own one that comes with it. Buyer beware. I'd wait till Black Friday

This is a HiSense TV. In 2018, HiSense acquired their TV division and makes them under the Toshiba name. Toshiba itself exited the US market in 2015.

Thanks. Disappointing that they would change that for this model. May still be a good deal at $400, but not a lot of reviews for this specific model. I ordered one and I'll keep looking for other deals or better info. Seems like you can get some upgrades for a couple hundred additional $'s, but doubt there's much better at this price.

This is a 60Hz panel. It cannot properly display 24FPS content without 3:2 pulldown* and it can't display 120Hz content other than showing every other frame. (120Hz panels can simply display 5 of the same frames in a second to get to 120Hz. 60 isn't divisible by 24, so some frames are shown for 3 refresh cycles while others are shown for 2 cycles on 60Hz native panels. This results in judder.)This is, IMO a secondary TV unless your budget is very, very tight and your expectations are in line. I'd personally go with a 120Hz panel, given the time, cost, and effort required to install, remove, and dispose of such a large device. Given all of that, I'd suggest the HiSense QD7 75" 120hz/144Hz TV at $550.

Thank you for the additional tech explanation. QD7 is on my radar and I was looking at the $650 85" version at Walmart. The wife just pulled our current TV off the console onto it's head, destroying 1/4 of the screen, which is why I am contemplating this unplanned purchase. I feel we must be punished for not taking proper care of our current TV, so a $400 TV might be the route I take.

If im stuck between a TCL QM6K 75inch and the HiSense QD7 85inch which would you recommend?

Mostly for sports/background TV in the living room.

There will be some gaming done on it so Im not sure about the QD7 because the reviews are really bad for gaming/motion blur
