Totally false. Premium gas refers to octane level not cleaning agent. And using it every once in a while will accomplish very little given the lack of concentration.
**An unopened bottle of Techron can typically be stored for up to 5 years if kept in a cool, dry place.**
Here's what you need to know about Techron's shelf life:
### 🧴 Shelf Life of Unopened Techron
- **Unopened Techron bottles remain effective for 2 to 5 years** when stored properly.
- The key factors affecting shelf life are **temperature**, **light exposure**, and **container integrity**.
- **Cool, dark environments** (below 85°F / 29°C) are ideal to prevent chemical breakdown.
### ⚠️ What Happens After Expiration
- Techron doesn't become harmful after expiration, but **its cleaning performance may degrade** due to:
- **Solvent evaporation**
- **Detergent precipitation**
- Using an old bottle may still help, but **results could be less noticeable**.
### 🧪 Opened Bottles
- Once opened, Techron should be used within **12–18 months** due to oxygen exposure and potential oxidation.
### 🗓️ How to Check Dates
- Bottles often have a **manufacturing date** printed on the label or box. If you're unsure, assume a **5-year window** from that date.
When you're posting AI crap, make sure you tell it in the prompt to not include emojis and all this other fluff because then it doesn't look so obvious
Is this heavier then gasoline?
They say to put in a near empty tank and then fill up... doesn't it dilute the concentration?
What happens if you put it in a tank that is almost full?
Wouldn't putting it in a tank with 1/4 left and then fill up when it gives the refuel warning provide a higher concentration of cleaning?

Good questions and I have always wondered those things myself. But I have generally stuck pretty close to the directions……add the Techron when I'm near empty, and then I fill up about 3/4 or so of the way. So I'm going for the higher concentration, but only modestly so. I have been doing this for years and it works really well for me.

Why bother? The summary is not my own so why try and hide it. Any grammatical errors you want to address while you are at it
Techron has been around since 1981, with proven good results.
Been using it for over 10 years in a 1996 Miata inherited from my dad with good success and agree with the summary. Anything you want to add to contest the validity of the points made? Do you have any personal experience with the product?

Please follow the bottle's instruction guide. For best practice, pour the recommended treat of Techron® into a nearly empty tank, then top off the tank with quality fuel. This helps to facilitate mixing and maximize effectiveness. If your tank is half or all the way full, it is best to wait until your next fill-up. Detailed instructions are also available on our YouTube video.
Night and day. The seafoam really adds no value. Techron is objectively validated as the superior fuel additive. I don't know what the point in seafoam is.
Seafoam is what's called a cylinder/piston soak product

The best way to go about purchasing Techron is looking at price per ounce . Anything under $0.85 per fluid ounces a good deal . Advance Auto has the best price at 83 cents Walmart also has that price for their 10 oz bottle . If your vehicle has high mileage (75k or more)then look for that and here are the prices for that currently, 74.9¢/fl oz for the single 12 oz bottle and 62.5¢/fl oz for the bulk 6-pack—are specifically for the Techron High Mileage Complete Fuel System Cleaner. The 74-cent number is from Advance Auto the 62.5% number is from Six Pack purchase at Sam's Club
do all the math you want. but you forgot to read its direction on how much that many oz can mix "up to" how many gallons per application. that all matters. more oz doesnt mean better concentration.
