It's only 10" blade and it doesn't slide. You don't need it

It's more about space and weight savings for me.

Has anyone used this extensively? I have been using the Dewalt Chop Saw for a decade, and it's awesome, but it'd be nice to have a cordless version. How do the batteries hold up when cutting through hardwoods?

I have the older, smaller version of this (7-¼ sliding). It feels like it doesn't even use the battery, so I can't imagine battery being a limiting factor for DIY or normal projects.
If you're doing large production runs of, idk, > 200-300 cuts? Maybe that would be an issue?
I'm also curious if anyone else has experience with this one.

With two batteries, you just need it to run long enough for the second battery to charge. As I think about it, I mainly run Makita and Milwaukee battery tools, but love my Dewalt chop saw. I shoudl probably look into the Milwaukee, instead of complicating my battery setup. But still curious? can't beat teh price and the Dewalt saw stand is awesome and a great addtion to this. Its just over $100 and super portable as well. https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWAL.../202818490

I have the smaller cordless miter saw and it's one of the best tools I own. Battery life is fantastic with a 6 or 9ah flex bolt battery. Cutting hardwood all day though...not sure this is right for you. If you have the right batteries it's fantastic.
