This fits what I've been looking for although I'm not a fan of touch screen. I've seen mixed to more negative reviews of acer laptops, is that still the case?

At best this is going to drop to $1000. The biggest difference I see is screen quality.

288v is just equal to the 228v and 258v. Performance is no different between 5 7 and 9 for lunar lake. They are all TRASH. Slower than the old 7840u. In reality it feels equal if not slower than a i3-1220p because of that junk power saving feature causing lagging and anime slowing down.
