This is a good deal, so thumbs up for the find and the value. I think I paid $400 for mine and I feel it was not quite worth it at that price. On the positive side it's fairly lightweight and can fold up so it's fairly compact if you're pressed for space. I'm 6'2" and I don't know if other people have this issue with traditional gas mowers, but the handles are always too low for me so I am generally hunched over while mowing. This mower fixed that issue. The extendable handle is much closer to an upright walking position for me and I love that. The single handle for raising and lowering the deck is handy and I prefer it to my older gas mower that requires individual adjustments at every wheel. That may be a negative to some people, though, as there may be use case scenarios where you'd want wheels at different heights. The self propelled aspect of this mower is good, and it's quick, but you won't ever go at top speed for reasons I'll explain shortly. You are also able to use the self propelled functionality without the blade being engaged so you're able to walk it back to where you store it more easily. As a final "pro" there are a ton of tools in the 24v line and they make fairly good weekend warrior level products. So with that in mind, and especially if you already have tools in that line, the 2 5ah batteries and dual charger is easily worth $125-150 alone.
Still, I'd only rate this a 3 star product for the following reasons. Design flaws that personally annoy me. The cross bar spanning the handle sucks and if you bag your clippings to compost you'll be constantly annoyed that you have to reach around under the handles rather than through the top to grab the bag and remove it. It won't fit through that opening. It's a first world problem, but it's annoying, trust me. The angle of the discharge into the bag isn't right. You'll regularly notice the mower bogging down because the clippings will begin backing up into the tube. So you then empty the bag only to see it's maybe 60% full. Then you get pissed again because you had to reach around under the handle to grab the bag and then... I'm getting sidetracked. The point is, if the discharge tube was at a better angle it would eject the clippings further into the bag to prevent them backing up and it would fill the bag better.
The mower has a decent amount of power, but you won't be cutting through super thick lawns with ease. I have sections of my backyard that I haven't redone yet that are zoysia and this mower struggles with those sections. Fescue is fine, even if it's fairly thick. You won't want to try cutting the grass if it's damp, though, because it'll bog down quickly, though I'll say this should be expected and if that's troubling to you then you should stick with a gas powered mower. The cut is not always the most even. I find it sometimes leaves uncut grass in areas I for sure covered. It's not terrible, but it's there if you're looking for it. If you mulch, I'd look elsewhere. This can do it, but it's not ideal and the mower will absolutely bog down and you'll burn through your batteries more quickly.
So all things considered, I like the mower, I just think it has some design flaws that prevent it from being a 5 star product. The value is in being in the 24v line as there are a lot of very decent products to buy and having a couple 5ah batteries around for other lawn care products is awesome and the dual charger is super handy. For reference my property is about 1/4 of an acre and in general I'm usually able to get through the entire lawn without needing to change batteries. Not always, but usually.
TL;DR - decent but not amazing product with a few design flaws that hold it back. Overall a pretty good value, especially if you have a smaller property.
