There seems to be a lot of deals on a 75" tv for under $500. Can anyone provide insight on which are the best to consider?

Probably whichever one has native 120Hz (if any). But like someone else said, the review on Rtings.

600 nits peak brightness is really really really low. For comparison, their higher-end U8 model produces five-thousand (5,000) nits peak.

I've had this for 3 years and I have no complaints. I get compliments for it all the time. I paid 6-700 for it then and I got a great deal. The Google operating system is still fast 3 years later too

Anyone know how well these built-in Google TV's are with TiviMate running multiple streams?

Probably the ones closest to $500, like the Costco Q77K Series. I haven't seen any 75" mini-led <$500. So,it seems be a balance between more reliable brand Samsung, LG>TLC,HIsense>Toshiba, Vizio etc. and QLED vs LED. Local Dimming vs not. Use Copilot or ChatGPT AI to help you decide. Some of these are BF only TVs so not on rtings.com.

You mean the $1,500+ U8 that's over 3 times the price? You can compare a Civic to a Ferrari, but what's the point?

That's pretty disingenuous. If you're going to try to make it seem that simple, let's talk about 9 times the brightness for 3x the price. That's just one aspect that sticks out.

I don't think it's disingenuous ... If you're looking at TV's for around $500, what is a brightness of $1500+ TV isn't really an issue for you. Even if the brightness was 50 times of that on $500 TV, the one who is in market for $500 TV would never ever consider that spec

Money is money my friend. And for many, many people they don't need the absolutely brightest TV they can find. And if they do they are going to pay for it.
