No. The drive will work, but it's crazy overkill for your situation and would only be worth it if you use it in another device in the future. Your mini has Thunderbolt 3 / USB 4. You aren't even going to hit 4GB/s in an external enclosure. You won't even be getting 1/3 of potential sequential performance out of this drive. You can buy a cheaper PCIe 4.0 SSD.

It would also probably overheat in an external enclosure unless you spend lots of money on a robutst one with active cooling.
